In March 2016, after a conference on Women's Rights, within the framework of the Third Women's Forum; A group of volunteers decided to get together to carry out an investigation on domestic violence in the Ecuadorian community residing in London.

In this study it was possible to show that 42% of women and men had suffered domestic violence; and 4 out of 10 participants had been victims of psychological abuse.
These results motivated us to create the Family Emotional Wellbeing Project (FEWP). In February 2017 we began to organize workshops on mental health and domestic violence issues; in mid-2018 we officially registered in the UK; Later we began to work in collaboration with the Consulate of Ecuador in London, providing the service of attention to the Latin American community in its facilities. During the Covid-19 period, we continued to work through different virtual platforms.
